SOLIDARITY: Imam Advises Yoruba Socio-Cultural Groups to Unite for a Purpose

The Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin, Yorubaland who doubles as the Jagun Esin Omo Oodua was hosted in a popular TV programme, Igba Owuro anchored by Aiyegbokiki in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Imam talked on the past, present and future of Yoruba in Nigeria and around the world. Today, the Yoruba socio-cultural organisations have risen from the initial 27 to 45 in a race to foster and protect Yoruba culture. And Imam happened to be the founders of the one of the most powerful groups, United Yoruba Kingdom, Oodua.

He stressed the need for the organizations to work together and have unity of purpose to be able to succeed in the mission to make Yoruba world envious, peaceful, exemplary and progressive. There is need for solidarity among the groups so that the enemies would not infiltrate. Because this is possible when there is crack in the wall.

"So Yoruba groups must work together as brothers to have an easy feat. At this moment, solidarity is imperative to promote and protect our land"

Imam Yoruba Of Ilorin, Yorubaland Encourages Yoruba to Protect Their Culture In the World

This is the video that has sent the Yoruba enemies in the country using some cheap gimmicks to brainwash the unsuspecting citizens packing.

The theme of the video was intended to promote and protect the Yoruba Heritage from the friendly enemies who have been using religion and politics to defile the attractive culture of Omo Oduduwa around the world. They have been succeeded using religion to usurp the Yoruba Throne especially in Ilorin Afonja in the early 19th century. They keep infiltrating and bastardizing the Yoruba culture. They dissuade Yoruba from cherishing their heritage which they tag as infidel. They brainwash Yoruba daily to substitute their beautiful cultural names for a foreign name under the religious holiness.

The gimmick is not holy but mischievous. Their intention is to takeover our heritage and enslave us in our land. This is clear in the attempt to kill our culture to make us foreigners in our native land.

Imam encouraged Yoruba to be conscious because the enemies are near and planning tirelessly to overrun the Yorubaland having succeeded in Ilorin due to the Yoruba Empire's internal crises of the 19th century.
Imam encourages the Yoruba to resist further intrusion of the friendly enemies using religion as a tool of conquest. He admonished the 21st century Yoruba to restore the lost glory of the old Oyo Empire. Imam stated that, Yoruba people should go back to study their physical geography stating that Yoruba land starts from Jebba by River Oya(Niger River) to Lagos Ocean and some other west African countries ie. Benin, Gana, Togo, Codevoire, Senegal among others.

"The foreigners in Yorubaland should leave if they cannot be hospitable"
