SOLIDARITY: Imam Advises Yoruba Socio-Cultural Groups to Unite for a Purpose

The Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin, Yorubaland who doubles as the Jagun Esin Omo Oodua was hosted in a popular TV programme, Igba Owuro anchored by Aiyegbokiki in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Imam talked on the past, present and future of Yoruba in Nigeria and around the world. Today, the Yoruba socio-cultural organisations have risen from the initial 27 to 45 in a race to foster and protect Yoruba culture. And Imam happened to be the founders of the one of the most powerful groups, United Yoruba Kingdom, Oodua.

He stressed the need for the organizations to work together and have unity of purpose to be able to succeed in the mission to make Yoruba world envious, peaceful, exemplary and progressive. There is need for solidarity among the groups so that the enemies would not infiltrate. Because this is possible when there is crack in the wall.

"So Yoruba groups must work together as brothers to have an easy feat. At this moment, solidarity is imperative to promote and protect our land"

Imam Yoruba Of Ilorin, Yorubaland Encourages Yoruba to Protect Their Culture In the World

This is the video that has sent the Yoruba enemies in the country using some cheap gimmicks to brainwash the unsuspecting citizens packing.

The theme of the video was intended to promote and protect the Yoruba Heritage from the friendly enemies who have been using religion and politics to defile the attractive culture of Omo Oduduwa around the world. They have been succeeded using religion to usurp the Yoruba Throne especially in Ilorin Afonja in the early 19th century. They keep infiltrating and bastardizing the Yoruba culture. They dissuade Yoruba from cherishing their heritage which they tag as infidel. They brainwash Yoruba daily to substitute their beautiful cultural names for a foreign name under the religious holiness.

The gimmick is not holy but mischievous. Their intention is to takeover our heritage and enslave us in our land. This is clear in the attempt to kill our culture to make us foreigners in our native land.

Imam encouraged Yoruba to be conscious because the enemies are near and planning tirelessly to overrun the Yorubaland having succeeded in Ilorin due to the Yoruba Empire's internal crises of the 19th century.
Imam encourages the Yoruba to resist further intrusion of the friendly enemies using religion as a tool of conquest. He admonished the 21st century Yoruba to restore the lost glory of the old Oyo Empire. Imam stated that, Yoruba people should go back to study their physical geography stating that Yoruba land starts from Jebba by River Oya(Niger River) to Lagos Ocean and some other west African countries ie. Benin, Gana, Togo, Codevoire, Senegal among others.

"The foreigners in Yorubaland should leave if they cannot be hospitable"

UNITED YORUBA KINGDOM, OODUA: MANDATE

United Yoruba Kingdom, Oodua

The Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin, AFRICAN Muslim Leader

Chief Imam Yoruba Flank By The Newly Corronated Female Chiefs: Iyalode of Northern Nigeria, Erelu, Iyalode of Kwara State..

UNITED YORUBA KINGDOM, OODUA

1. UNITED YORUBA KINGDOM,OODUA is a Yoruba socio-cultural organization that focuses on the exclusive promotion and protection of Yoruba heritage and seeking due justice for Yoruba people and culture against the oppressors in the Nigeria Northern Political Division where some groups of Yoruba are found as both natives (Kwara and Kogi States) and settlers (other states of the north). And, as well guide and guard the most sophisticated human moral-ethics, Yoruba moral-code, Omoluabi through education and empowerment of the family managers, women who prepare our children for societal challenges and attainment of better human community.
2. As physical exercise presumably takes 30% of human well-being so is woman takes 60% of human family and societal wellbeing while man takes the rest 10%. Based on this hypothesis, 60% of human wellbeing is occupied by our women must be jealously guided and guarded for a sustainable family and societal life.
3. Conventionally, across all known human culture, women are the traditionally family managers who naturally keep our domestic life saved by taking good care of both husbands and children and relatives and socio-economic administration.
4. The acknowledgement of the inevitable roles of women, in both family management and society development have been established for eons, and it’s as old as human culture which has spanned over millennia. So women in Yoruba culture are held in a very high esteem because no matter their size or age they are known as mothers, beauties, queens, companions and salt of life.
5. If our women play their inevitable roles very well in their families, society would be more habitable like a paradise and sustainable human survival, progress, peace and development. Today, most wayward children are traced to the defect families where women failed to act womanly by playing their monumental roles as domestic managers, first hand teachers and supportive companions to their men. One of the mandates of the organization is to mobilize and campaign for women education and empowerment.
6. Today, since the amalgamation of Nigeria, a former British Colony in 1914, the two Protectorates of Southern and Northern Nigeria many agitations for socio-cultural, economic and political self determination have been witnessed across the country due to the unsolicited nature of the marriage. And some Yoruba sub-ethnic groups have accidentally being separated from their kinsmen in the Southwest and grouped into the northern State. Today, the Yoruba are the predominant ethnic group in Kwara State with 12 LGAs out of 16 LGAs and Kogi State covering the State’s Central Senatorial District. The Yoruba sub-groups of Ekiti, Igbomina, Ibolo, Ilorin Afonja(Oyo) are aboriginals in Kwara State with their relative ethnic nationalities of Nupe and Bariba while their counterpart Okun people occupy the Kogi State with their relative ethnic nationalities of Igbira, Igalla, Bassa Nge.
7. The formation of Nigeria under the Imperial British Enterprise has brought revolution to Yoruba way of life _ introduction of new religion, education, occupation, political system and social life all have contributed in no small measure to the radical change in Yoruba culture with affiliated crises and benefits. With the political system, Yoruba have been marginalized, first by shedding some part of our land to north under the dominant Fulani Oligarchy and this has opened our cherished culture to direct assaults, hence our people are being marginalized as minority. Since the amalgamation between 1914 till date, 2018 there has not existed a viable and formidable Yoruba socio-cultural platform that focuses on the rallying round and mobilize Yoruba people  across the 19 northern state into a united front to promote and protect their culture from being subjugated by the predominant ruling ethnic group of the political Northern Nigeria. Based on this call for united Yoruba front, hence, the emergence of the United Yoruba Kingdom, Oodua led by the foremost Yoruba revolutionist, Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin, African Muslim Leader, Sheikh AbdulRaheem Aduanigba.
8. Before the amalgamation of different cultures across Niger, Ilorin the most popular home of the great Oyo-Empire’s war lord, Aare Afonja Logunlaya was the historic super power in the present North Central. Being the headquarters of Yoruba warlord Afonja and seat of his revolutionary government controlled the present Kwara Yoruba groups of Ekiti, Igbomina, Ibolo and some parts of present Ekiti, Osun, Oyo states and Okunland and its neigbouring nations in the present Kogi State. And when Nigeria became a Federal Republic, Ilorin was made a native authority and subsequently a state capital of the old Kwara State (now Kwara and Kogi States).
9. Historically, Ilorin has remained a rally point for Yoruba culture and power since 18th century. That influence, toady, has been revived by the revolutionary and visionary gallant Yoruba socio-cultural activist from Ilorin, Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin, Africa Muslim Leader under the umbrella body of United Yoruba Kingdom, Oodua, the leading Yoruba voice across Niger.
10. Hence, Ilorin traditionally is the headquarters of United Yoruba Kingdom, Oodua and the Palace and Office of The Chief Imam Yoruba shall be the diplomatic secretariat of the body where every Yoruba group, individual and friend shall meet to deliberate on the peace, progress and development of Yoruba culture, economy, security, education, freedom and its people especially in the Northern Nigeria.
11. This body, United Yoruba Kingdom, Oodua has been a leading voice in the clamour for the return of the Yoruba in Kwara and Kogi States to their kinsmen in the Southwest for capital development and emancipation from the systemic marginalization by the predominant Fulani Oligarchy in the North to open avenue for meaningful socio-economic growth and development. Hence the clamour for creation of Oya State or country’s restructuring to rebuild for sustainability as a promising African Giant. Hence, the body stands for justice, freedom and equality and peaceful coexistence among other cultures in the states of the north. As a multicultural society, mutual respect and tolerance must be encouraged, promoted and sustained for monumental peace to reign in the region. Therefore, Yoruba Traditional Chiefs must be respected with grading, upgrading and dues must be paid otherwise the act will be resolved to an expression of systematic marginalization which shall be repelled logically and legally. And no part of Yoruba should be invaded and occupied by any groups of individuals under any guise; this shall be repelled as well.
12. And Yoruba across the Northern Nigeria must be united as a one and united voice and/or force to foster monumental development in all spheres of life, particularly to promote and protect their rich Yoruba culture: Omoluabi Moral Code, Cultural and Religious Tolerance, Diolomacy, Accommodating, Education, Economic Technocracy, Hardwork, Social Life and Peace.
13.    Therefore, the prototype of Yoruba traditional chieftaincy titles as it is practiced in every Yoruba world has been revived and instituted across the Northern Nigeria to further promote and protect Yoruba rich culture. And this is a viable platform for the universal promotion and preservation of Yoruba culture as a human treasure.
14. Having acknowledged the significance of a well cultured and guided family successfully managed by Yoruba virtuous women, we need to appreciate, encourage and empower our backbone, our mothers and companions, thus, we are proud of building an envious cultural and humane society. Our women should keep managing and educating our children especially the female ones for it is said, “educate a girl-child and educate the whole society”. Because, she will grow to become a manager and builder. Our women must train our wards against all societal vices like drug abuse, hooliganism, thuggery, prostitution, laziness, robbery, kidnapping, ritual killings, 419 practice, begging, trafficking etc.
15. Our women are the salt of this life and backbone of our societal well beings so such titles as Iyalode, Erelu, Yeye Oge, Yeye Asa among others have instituted as a mark of honour to celebrate them.
16. United Yoruba Kingdom, Oodua shall continue to stand for justice, freedom, peace, progress and development of Yoruba culture, people, heritage, security and economy even before the enemies of progress. Long live Yoruba Race! Long live United Yoruba Kingdom, Oodua! Long live The Office of Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin! Long live Nigeria!

United Yoruba Kingdom, Oodua
National Secretary
