The Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin, Sheilkh AbdulRaheem Aduanigba  had in a conference, in his New Palace/Office at Oja Iya, Ilorin, called for a support for the police force by the government and people of Nigeria towards effective and efficient security.
The conference witnessed the presence of some renowned Islamic scholars in Nigeria and emphasized on the efficiency and effectiveness of the Police Force through unbiased law, improved welfare and public cooperation.
However, for a vast audience and record, it was put into a magazine and CD in 2010, titled: The Secret of the Criminals (Asiri Alaburu Eniyan). He read out the name and divisions of Lagos State DPOs for public interactions because police is always a friend!
He however preached thus in the project:
O my Lord! Make this nation a home of peace and security. The Nigerian Police Force , best in Africa,  work  like an elephant and eat like a rat. Their priority  in Nigeria is to provide security for all citizens of this country, to allow peace to reign. Police is your friend, help the police to serve you better. Don’t take laws into your own hands, it will burn you, report any suspicion to the police. If criminals are your business partners or you are close associates like Al-Qaeda and Boko Haram, don’t blame the police when you are caught, before you commit any crime think of cell, prison yard and firing squad. The most criminal case apart from official corruption faced by Federal Government is the Boko Haram Terrorism among others. So we have criminal investigation bodies, working according to the law, are they working on selection? What is criminal investigation? Objective of investigation which answers the folloeing questions: what crime has been committed? Who committed it? Why was it committed? And when was it committed? How was it committed? I think, if  police force, EFCC, ICPC and other related bodies work according to the questions above with love, fairness and honesty to this nation, this nation Nigeria would be a better place for us all to live!

And those that cannot get the hardcopy on the magazine, can still get the  softcopy on the CD, just contact us.

A radio announcement denigrating the office and person of the Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin, Sheilkh AbdulRAaheem Aduanigba was sponsored by the Emir of Ilorin on Harmony FM, Idofian on this date 22/11/2016.  And the Rejoinder:  Office of Imam Yoruba of Ilorin is Fait Accompli, was made in a Press Release by the Afenifere Rewal Group, Kwara State Chapter and broadcast on Ajilete Fm, Gambari Ogbomosho, Oyo State on this date: 25-26/11/2016.
However, the Office of the Imam Yoruba of Ilorin peacefully representing the Yoruba Muslims of Ilorin like his counterparts Fulani, Malian and Gambari Imams in the ancient city. The pan Yoruba councils in and outside the city and state have endorsed it and its occupant without any prejudice.
Here is the copy of the REJOINDER.

PRESS RELEASE
CHIEF IMAM YORUBA OF ILORIN IS A FAIT ACCOMPLI
Our attention has been drawn to a radio announcement by the Emir of Ilorin denouncing the position of Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin, claiming that no such position existed.
Afenifere Renewal Group ( Kwara State Chapter), a pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organization hereby declares her support for Sheilk AbdulRaheem Aduanigba, the Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin. This declaration is predicated on the need for equity, fairness and balance in the conduct of the affairs of men in our society. It is a known fact that in Ilorin, there is Imam Fulani appointed from among the Fulani. Imam Imale, for those who migrated from Mali; and Imam Gambari for the Hausas and Kemberis; while the Yoruba that own the land with 80% population in Ilorin have no Imam from their Yoruba stock, appointed by the Emir. What a great injustice!
The attempt by the Emir of Ilorin to denigrate the position of Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin is the latest in the series of acts of subjugation, usurpation and arm-twisting to deny the Yoruba people of Ilorin, the right to stand on their own and claim what rightly belongs to them on their fatherland. To put the records straight, nobody requires the recognition of the Emir of Ilorin for the office of Imam Yoruba to exist, as it has been existing for long and duly recognized by Yoruba people of Ilorin, who crave for fairness and justice in Ilorin Afonja.
Consequently, the Yoruba race with a hallowed history of equality among all human beings and a culture of progressive democracy, recognize Sheilkh AbdulRaheem Aduanigba as the Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin, with or without the recognition of the Emir of Ilorin. Members of the public are therefore enjoined to disregard the said radio announcement by the Emir of Ilorin.
It is further alleged that the Emir, as it is customary of him, is making frantic efforts to use government apparatuses to intimate some Yoruba traditional rulers in Asa, Moro, Ilorin West, Ilorin East and Ilorin South Local Government Areas whose photographs appeared on a recent almanac published by the Chief Imam Yoruba of Ilorin. Afenifere urges the Kwara State Governor, Dr. AbdulFatah Ahmed and other security agencies not to heed such an unholy plot.
